Which TikTok videos actually sell an event?
The ones that show the room, not the flyer. A poster with music gets scrolled past. A speaker saying one sharp thing to camera gets watched, and sometimes saved. These are the formats that do the selling:
| Format | What it shows | Why it sells seats | When to post |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speaker clip | One strong opinion from a speaker, 15 to 30 seconds | Proof the content is worth the time | From each speaker announcement |
| Last year's recap | A full room, faces, 2 or 3 quick quotes | Social proof without a single claim | Announcement week |
| Behind the scenes | Setup, the venue, the team, the food | Makes it real and lowers the risk of coming | The final 2 weeks |
| Countdown series | “10 days to...” with one new reason each time | Reminders that don't repeat themselves | The final 10 days |
| Comment reply video | A real question from your comments, answered on camera | Handles objections in public | Whenever a good question lands |
| Attendee POV | “POV: your first time at...” | Lets people picture themselves there | Mid campaign |
| LIVE preview | A speaker Q&A, 20 to 30 minutes | A taste of the event, with people you can follow up | About 1 week out |

Formats from how organizers use TikTok, not a ranking published by TikTok. Lengths and timing are suggestions to test.
The highlighted row is the one most organizers skip, and it's the one that starts from a person who already raised their hand. Every question in your comments is a video idea and a lead.
How do you make a TikTok that gets people to register?
TikTok viewers decide in the first seconds. So open with the most interesting thing you have, not your logo. Then give the event a fair chance to stick:
- 1Hook in the first line: the speaker's boldest claim, the surprising number from their talk, or the problem the event solves.
- 2Say the event name, city and date out loud and put them on screen. Plenty of people watch without sound.
- 3One reason per video. A speaker, a session, the venue. Not the whole agenda.
- 4End with one call to action: “link in bio”, or “comment SEAT and I'll send you the details”.
- 5Use a few specific hashtags, like your city and your niche, so people searching for them can find it. Don't expect hashtags to do the work.
Should you go LIVE before your event?
Yes, if you can get a speaker on for 20 to 30 minutes about a week before. A LIVE preview gives people a real taste, lets them ask questions and gives you a list of the people who cared enough to show up for it.

Two more practical points. Going LIVE is widely reported to need around 1,000 followers, and TikTok notes access can vary by region, so check your own account early instead of the night before. And schedule it: TikTok's LIVE Events feature lets you set the date, time and description ahead of time, so viewers can sign up and get notified when you start.
During the LIVE, pin a comment with the event date, answer questions by name, and say the registration step out loud. Afterwards, the people who asked questions are your warmest leads. Reply to each of them.
Where does the registration link go on TikTok?
Three places, in this order: your bio, your DMs and the screen.
- Your bio. The obvious one, but the bio link isn't open to every account. A follower threshold is widely reported, and Business accounts can sometimes add a link earlier. Check what your account allows before you plan around it.
- Your DMs. Once someone asks, send it in a message. That's the cleanest handoff on TikTok.
- The screen. Show a short, readable URL in the video itself for people who'd rather type it.
Keep links out of comments. TikTok's Community Guidelines name links among the things it treats as comment spam, along with random text and irrelevant promotion. Rule-breaking links get removed, and creators can be temporarily stopped from posting links at all. Not a risk worth taking a week before your event.
How do you turn TikTok commenters into registrants?
Reply to every comment, fast, and in public first. A short text reply or a reply video keeps the conversation visible for everyone else who has the same question. Then take the interested ones to DMs. That's where the rules start, and most people get them wrong:
- 1The other person's settings decide. Every TikTok user picks who can message them: everyone, people they follow back, or no one. If there's no Message button you can use, you can't start the chat.
- 2Under-16 accounts can't use DMs at all, so student and youth events need another channel.
- 3Comment-to-DM tools don't open the door. Tools on TikTok's messaging API can only message people who messaged you first, inside a 48-hour window.
- 4New accounts get held back. A cold account that only messages strangers can see DMs that look sent but never arrive. Warm it up with real viewing, likes and comments first.

So the outbound route is manual and personal: like and comment on 1 to 3 of their videos, then DM on a later day with something about them. All the gates are in TikTok DMs in 2026.
Hey!! We're hosting the BIGGEST real estate event in Dallas this year, grab your ticket before they're gone: link.co/dallas
Hey Andre, your video on house hacking your first duplex was great. We've got 3 local investors breaking down their first deals at a free night in Dallas on Dec 4. Want me to send the details?
What do you say when someone replies?
Answer the question they asked, in their tone, and keep it short. TikTok's own guidance for messaging ads says people are more likely to keep the chat going when a business replies within 3 minutes. You won't always manage that, but same hour beats same day.
wait is it in person? and do you have to be an agent to come
In person, Deep Ellum, 6:30 pm. Not just agents, most of the room is new investors like you. Free, 80 seats. Want the link?
yeah send it
Here you go: [link]. Takes a minute. I'll DM you the address and parking the day before so you don't have to dig for it.
If someone goes quiet after asking, one nudge 2 or 3 days later is plenty: “Still want that link for Dec 4? Seats are about half gone.” Only say it if it's true.
Does TikTok work for B2B events?
More than most B2B marketers assume, as long as the event is for people, not job titles. The buyers are younger than the stereotype.
60 to 70%
of B2B tech buyers are Millennials or Gen Z

It works well for events where the audience runs its own business or builds a personal brand: agency owners, real estate investors, recruiters, creators, trades, founders, local service businesses. A user meetup, a founder breakfast or an investor night can fill from TikTok. The real estate events guide shows one version in detail, and TikTok B2B lead generation covers who you'll find.
Be honest about where it doesn't fit. A 20-person dinner for CFOs of mid-size manufacturers won't fill from TikTok. Use LinkedIn and email for that room, and keep TikTok for the events whose audience actually scrolls there.
How do you get TikTok registrants to show up?
People who registered from a 20-second video made a fast decision, so remind them why they said yes. Send a confirmation in the DM thread where they asked for the link, a short message the day before with the address and the one session they'll love, and a same-day “see you at 6:30”. Back it up with email and SMS, since not everyone opens TikTok messages daily. Keep posting through the final days, too: a behind the scenes video on the morning of the event reminds registrants and catches late deciders.
Track it. Add “How did you hear about us?” to your form, or a TikTok-only link, so you know how many registrations and show-ups came from videos versus DMs. The full reminder playbook is in how to reduce event no-shows, and the other channels are ranked in how to get more event attendees.
How MyBazooka handles this
MyBazooka learns your event in one conversation: it reads your website and asks who your ideal attendees are and what makes the event special. Then it collects them on TikTok from everyone commenting on videos in your niche, from the followers of any profile, who it follows and TikTok's suggested accounts, and from your own followers. Each profile is checked against your filters and the business behind it is researched before anything is written.
It runs on warmed, ready-made TikTok profiles, each with its own IP and browser. Every person gets a profile view with a like and a short comment on 1 to 3 videos, then a personal DM on a later day, at 12 to 18 DMs a day per profile. People without a Message button are skipped, and held-back DMs are detected and retried instead of counted as sent. The AI conversation agent answers every reply, covers agenda, location and price, follows up when people go quiet and gets them registered. A thank you page and personal reminders, plus email and SMS, get them in the room. The same campaign runs on 8 social channels and cold email. Questions people ask
How do I promote an event on TikTok?
Post short videos that show the event: speaker clips, behind the scenes, a recap of last year and a countdown in the final days. Go LIVE with a speaker about a week out, keep the link in your bio, and reply to every comment, taking interested people to DMs.
Can B2B events be promoted on TikTok?
Yes, when the audience runs a business or builds a personal brand: founders, agency owners, investors, recruiters, trades. Put real people on camera, not brand graphics. For small rooms of corporate executives, LinkedIn and email usually work better.
Can I schedule a TikTok LIVE event?
Yes. Accounts with LIVE access can create a LIVE Event ahead of time with a date, time and description, so viewers can sign up for a notification. You need to be 18 or older to go LIVE, and a follower threshold is widely reported, so check your account early.
Do hashtags help event promotion on TikTok?
A little. A few specific hashtags, like your city and your niche, help people searching for them find the video. The hook and the content matter far more, so don't spend time on long hashtag lists.
How do I turn TikTok viewers into registrants?
Give every video one call to action, reply fast to every comment, and move interested people into DMs where you can send the link. Then confirm and remind them in the same thread, plus email and SMS.
Can I DM people on TikTok about an event?
Yes, if their settings allow messages from you and they're 16 or older. Warm up first with a like and a real comment on their videos, send one personal message without a link, and send the link once they ask. Automation tools can only message people who messaged you first.
