The ban question is over
On January 22, 2026, the US and Chinese governments signed off on selling TikTok's American operations to a consortium led by Oracle, Silver Lake and MGX. That kept the app running for roughly 170 million American users. ByteDance keeps a stake of just under 20%.

For you, that means two things. First, you can plan a TikTok channel without a countdown clock over it. Second, the new US joint venture stores US data in Oracle's cloud and is retraining the recommendation algorithm on US user data. Expect what gets shown to whom to shift a bit for US accounts. Build around people and conversations, not around one lucky viral format.
Your buyers got younger while you weren't looking
The "TikTok is for teenagers" line is old. Single Grain cites Millennials and Gen Z as roughly 60 to 70% of B2B tech buyers now. Those are the people researching tools, shortlisting agencies and running the budget in a lot of companies, and many of them spend their evenings on TikTok.

Big B2B brands are testing it too. Single Grain reports that HubSpot's B2B TikTok campaigns lifted favorability by 10.5% and ad recall by 9.5%. That's brand, not pipeline, but it tells you the audience is there and paying attention.
Who TikTok works for, and who should skip it
TikTok is not LinkedIn. You won't find a VP of Procurement at a 5,000-person manufacturer by searching job titles. What you will find is a huge number of owners and operators who run their business partly through their own TikTok account.
- Great fit: agencies selling to DTC and e-commerce brands, creator and coaching businesses, local service businesses with a consumer audience, tools for creators and shop owners.
- Decent fit: SaaS with a founder-led, self-serve buyer, anything sold to marketers who own a brand account.
- Poor fit: enterprise deals with long procurement, buyers in regulated industries, anything that needs a title filter to find the right person.
A simple test: go to TikTok, search three phrases your buyer would use about their own business, and look at who's posting and commenting. If you see accounts you'd love as clients, the channel is real for you. If you see nobody you'd sell to, move on.
Content brings attention. Conversations bring deals.
Most B2B advice about TikTok is about making videos. Fine, but posting alone is slow and unpredictable, and a video is not a booked call. The part most teams skip is going to where their buyers already are: the people commenting on videos in their niche, and the followers of accounts their buyers follow.
Someone who comments "our ads got so expensive this quarter" under a video about Shopify growth has just told you their problem in public. That's a warmer lead than any list you can buy. Reach them with a short DM that picks up the thought.
Hey Jordan, saw your comment about ads getting expensive this quarter. Are you looking at other ways to get customers, or riding it out for now?
What it takes to do this properly
TikTok is less forgiving than LinkedIn about new accounts that start messaging on day one. You need accounts that behave like people: they watch, like and comment before they DM, and they ramp up slowly. You also need to check the inbox often, because a reply that sits for two days goes cold.
If you'd rather test before you commit, run 100 conversations over a few weeks and look at two numbers: how many replied, and how many of those were a fit. That tells you more than any report about TikTok and B2B, including this one.
And be honest about the result. If replies come back but none of them could ever afford you, the channel isn't wrong, the source is. Try commenters on a different kind of video before you give up on the platform.
What it does on TikTok, step by step.
Bazooka collects TikTok leads from the followers of any profile, who it follows and TikTok's suggested accounts, from everyone commenting on a video, and from your own followers. It checks each profile fits your filters and researches the business website behind it.
Outreach runs on warmed accounts we provide: a profile view with a like and a comment on 1 to 3 videos, then a personal DM on a later day. The AI handles replies and books calls, and every result feeds back so the system keeps the sources and openers that actually convert for you.
Questions people ask
Is TikTok still at risk of a US ban?
The January 2026 deal moved US operations to a joint venture led by Oracle, Silver Lake and MGX, which is what kept the app live. For planning purposes, the ban threat is off the table.
Do I need to post videos to get leads on TikTok?
It helps, but it's not required. You can start conversations with people commenting in your niche. Posting makes your profile look credible when they click through.
