How many requests a day is actually safe?
Keep new connection requests to roughly 11 to 15 a day per account. LinkedIn caps most accounts at around 100 invitations per rolling week, so your weekly total matters more than any single day.
New accounts should sit well under that until they're warmed. And spread it out. A steady dozen a day, every day, is safe. 100 on Monday and nothing after is exactly the pattern that gets you flagged.
It's rarely the number that gets you flagged
Restrictions aren't really about a single limit. They're about looking like a bot: high volume from a cold account, actions firing at machine speed, activity at 3am, and the big one, a low acceptance rate.
Acceptance rate is the signal almost nobody watches. If most of your requests sit pending or get marked “I don't know this person,” LinkedIn reads that as spam and pulls you in. Good targeting isn't just about getting replies. It's what keeps the account alive.
Warm the account before you push it
A brand-new LinkedIn account is like a brand-new email domain. No reputation, no benefit of the doubt. Warming it means a couple of weeks of looking human: a complete profile, a real photo, some genuine connections, a few comments and posts, and outreach that ramps up slowly instead of blasting on day one.
A warmed account absorbs far more activity than a cold one. That's why the people who do this at scale either age accounts patiently or run accounts that were warmed up long before the first campaign.
Scale with more accounts, not more volume
You don't scale by pushing one account to 50 requests a day. You scale by adding warmed accounts and splitting the load across them. Each one stays in the safe zone. Your total volume multiplies. Your risk doesn't.
Timing helps too. Send during business hours, space the actions out, add a little randomness instead of firing on a perfect interval. The closer an account behaves to a real person, the more rope LinkedIn gives it.
Questions people ask
Can LinkedIn automation get you banned?
Careless automation, yes. High volume from a cold account, machine-speed timing, a low acceptance rate. Done right, with warmed accounts and human pacing, automated outreach runs for years without a hiccup.
Do the limits reset daily or weekly?
Both, but the weekly connection-request ceiling is the one most people actually hit. Pace across the week instead of dumping it all on Monday.
